Today we’d like to introduce you to Taylor Jackson.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I entered the professional work space in 2012 starting with a small start-up solar company in Culver City. I had no real professional experience, so I started as a canvasser and appointment setter spending afternoons knocking on doors and pitching homeowners on the advantages of solar energy. Once, I was able to understand the product better I was promoted to an in home energy consultant where I would meet with homeowners and advise them of their options when converting to solar energy. I quickly became one of the top sales reps for the company and was promoted to a management position where I started recruiting and training new employees.
In 2015, New Paradigm, opened as an independent solar brokerage firm. New Paradigm, has been a resilient force in the renewable energy space, harvesting strong relationships with many finance and installation partners across the country. New Paradigm, attributes its success today to its commitment and dedication to the sustainable energy industry. The focus to creating a different perspective for how the world looks at energy was the inspiration for new paradigm’s inception.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
The road wasn’t all that smooth, but the lessons that I have learned along the way are invaluable. As a young business entrepreneur the most difficult thing for me was to find people that were as motivated as I was to build a solar company. Unfortunately, many people don’t keep their word or do what they say, so as a business person it’s important to have great relationships with partners that are trustworthy and who keep their word.
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about New Paradigm – what should we know?
New Paradigm is a sustainable energy brokerage firm that specializes in residential solar installations and artificial turf. We are most known for our ability to qualify more homes than other solar company and our customization of unique sustainable energy packages. We separate ourselves from our competition by being able to offer deals that are better in price and quality than the competition and giving our clients and array of options and letting them decide what option is best for them.

There are many people that deserve credit for my development as a business professional. My mother and father who are both entrepreneurs in their own right have pushed me to better throughout my life. My wife, Pamela, who I met in the solar business is a tremendous source of inspiration and support. And all my friends, colleagues and extended family that have helped me along the way keeping me grounded and not letting me forget to enjoy them moment.
