So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I started 5 years ago when I got unemployed. It wasn’t the first time that I business closed or company reduce the budget … so I was tired of being laid off and decided to start my business of delivering healthy food. Few months after I took a nutrítion online class and found out all the benefits of juicing and decided to change my menu from meals to detox juices. I wasn’t skinny or even looked fit when I started to sell my product.
This was also a personal challenge to change my lifestyle while selling healthy juices. I lost over 40 lbs working out and eating healthy and as a result, my followers found more credibility in my product because they followed mine before and after. We promoted our juices using Instagram and Facebook and all our sales were coming from social media.
Mid-April we launched our website and we are selling over 700 weekly. I’m so happy and blessed to have people around that is constantly helping us growth that sometimes I can’t believe we started Andrea’s Healthy Kitchen with $100.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Yes, we had challenges and obstacles because having a business was something new to us but unfortunately we have mentors helping and guiding us.
Andrea’s Healthy Kitchen – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
I’m the CEO and basically face of the business. I do all the social media, marketing, customer service, orders and make the juices. Make me proud is that we are helping people change their old eating habits to a better healthy lifestyle. Our juices are 100% natural and organic. Freshly made by order.
What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
Been selected for the PoSible LA 2017. Out of thousands of business, we were one of the ten winners to be part of their incubator program.
