Meet Tanya Love of Mystic Bazaar in East Los Angeles

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tanya Love.

Tanya, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Three years ago, I birthed Mystic Bazaar as a way to protest and join the peaceful revolution. I know we can build a much more balanced and heart-centered reality. Mystic Bazaar was born out of my own need to have community and connect with like-minded individuals. I wanted a platform where healing, music, ritual, and art could come together under one space, where my friends and loved ones could have a place to share their healing gifts, their art, and their magic and where everyone could realize that a new world is possible and doable. A world where self-expression is encouraged, where art and creativity are valued, embraced and supported. A world where we understand the power of music as a catalyst for change and a healing tool. A world that recognizes and honors that MAGIC IS REAL. A world where we are creating self-sustainable systems that respect and work directly with nature and where we are teaching each other, learning from one another and respecting each and every individual even if we don’t agree with their view because WE ARE ONE BIG FAMILY. I birthed Mystic Bazaar but this baby is no longer my baby. It is OURS. And it has a soul and personality all of its own that reflects and is shaped by each and every person that has participated, shared with us and supported our gatherings.

Has it been a smooth road?
The path I chose is not an easy or conventional path but I can’t imagine myself doing anything else. Yes, there are always challenges and difficult moments but I can look back at the obstacles I have overcome along the way and can see how much they helped me grow and become a better human being. Every challenge is a blessing in disguise. I remember when I first came up with the idea for Mystic Bazaar the first “block” I encountered was that I didn’t have a place of my own to host this type of gatherings and with my lifestyle – constantly traveling and on the road – it didn’t make sense to invest in being rooted under one place. So it was decided, Mystic Bazaar would be a nomadic platform. Now, that I look back, I love that this is our format. Sometimes, we joke about being a “spiritual traveling circus.” We get to go to different places, open a portal wherever we happen to be, amplify the love and elevate the vibration of that particular space. We might only be there for a day or two, but the energy, ritual and healing work that we do in that space will continue working, growing and expanding even after our physical presence is no longer there.

We’d love to hear more about your business.
Mystic Bazaar is a nomadic platform where healing, music, ritual, and art come together as one. We curate classes and events with mystics, healers, artists, and musicians from all over the world to assist each individual in their journey of discovery and self-empowerment. We are a “Do It Together” community; we support each other on manifesting our dreams into realities and are always open to collaboration and co-creation.

Is our city a good place to do what you do?
Los Angeles is a beautiful vortex known for being a place where dreams come true. It attracts people from all over the world, from different backgrounds, philosophies, and walks of life. It really is a melting pot of so many resources to offer! Sometimes, it’s easy to forget how fortunate we are to live in a place where people are open-minded and more willing to try something new than in other parts of the world. We are very lucky in LA to have such an amazing network of artists, healers, dreamers, and creators. It’s a wonderful place to plant seeds, but you must tend to your garden and be persistent.
