Today we’d like to introduce you to Dr. Tanya Kormeili.
Dr. Kormeili, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
Being a doctor started as a dream of a little girl who felt so helpless at the stroke bed of her grandmother, and ended up with being a dermatologist to the most beautiful people in the world. I get to be a part of people’s lives from skin cancers and terrible skin issues to beauty treatments for their promotions and weddings! I love how my story has unfolded, and feel grateful everyday.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Smooth? Never! As we talk, we are in the midst of the struggle with COVID19, where our office is learning how to care for our amazing patients in full protective equipment. It is another challenge that we must face and find solutions to. That is just how life is. Every day that we get to contribute to others is a blessed day. As a young child, I have a learned to always think with solutions. It has helped me overcome many struggles from immigration, war, discrimination and of course, financial barriers.
So, as you know, we’re impressed with Derm & Rejuvenation Institute – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of and what sets you apart from others.
Here at the Derm & Rejuvenation Institute we specialize in all things that have to do with healthy skin and rejuvenation. Healthy skin is beautiful skin, free of cancer and sun damage. Rejuvenation is what we specialize in from face to body making all the layers of the anatomy fit and healthy and beautifully contoured. Looking back on our patients, after 12 years of clinical practice, I see how our patients have become more confidant as the years have come and gone. They look and feel great, and I get to be a part of that journey. I love celebrating their successes, getting them ready for their dreams, and being there for the hard times, when they need a safe place to be themselves.
So, what’s next? Any big plans?
We are so excited to see our skincare line growing and becoming so successful. We went from a followership of only our patients to now people from all over the country, and a few from Europe and the Middle East! Being able to help people have healthy and beautiful skin is our top priority. Finding creative ways to reach that goal is our endless desire and dream. We are always looking to innovate and create amazing results for our community of lovely people.
