Meet Tammy Le of LoveMade Events

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tammy Le.

Tammy, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I started going out at a young age when I was a teenager with my best friend and business partner Linda Nguyen. Through events, we met a lot of amazing people and discovered a lot of cool music. We promoted hip-hop shows at venues we weren’t legally allowed to be in because we were too young. Around that time, I also met my current boss Will.I.Am while I was promoting at clubs. Later on in life, I started working for Will as his executive assistant and then I became his Director of Communications in 2014 and we’re still working together now. 2009 was when Linda and I started LoveMade. LoveMade is a design, consulting, marketing and events agency. I mainly handle the marketing and events side. Linda and I both have other full-time jobs but LoveMade has and always will be our side passion project.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I wish it were always smooth! What matters most is that I learned a lot and it was all worth it. The good, the bad, the ups and downs. That’s just life. It’s important to be consistent and keep at it. No one really tells you that a big part of having your own company is that you end up doing a lot of free work. To build the brand and to help people (if that’s what you want to do). Sometimes having your own business can get discouraging and overwhelming but at the end of the day, you just have to stay positive and remember why you’re doing what you do. And if it’s not something you really love then find something that inspires and motivates you.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?

Pre-covid, I was coordinating three event series. FlyGrls with my friend Janessa Molina which is a benefit dance party with all female dancers, DJ’s and artists. For each event, we donated a portion of proceeds to different non-profit organizations. Love Made Me Do It was our networking event series for female professionals. And Self Love Lessons I did with Auragami LA. That was my feel good, wellness workshop event series for women that focused on self-love and self-care.

Now that things are back open and getting back to normal, we’ve been promoting events for other companies again and I’m also coordinating LoveMade events. I’ve expanded my Self Love Lessons series and started Self Love Lessons: The Day Retreat with my friends Joanne and Donna from Ladies First. It’s similar to the wellness workshop events I was doing before but now the event is longer and more intimate with more workshops and activities. The goal is still the same, to help women on a professional, personal and spiritual level while still focusing on self-love. Our first day retreat was recently held on October 9th at The Sunrise Estate in Orange County and it was amazing. I couldn’t have asked for a better turn out.

LoveMade has always been about lifting up women, promoting them and pushing people to do what they love and that makes me happy and proud.

Have you learned any interesting or important lessons due to the Covid-19 Crisis?
Yes. Don’t take work or life too seriously, be patient, be positive, trust the process and enjoy the journey. Surround yourself with people who love and support you. Don’t take things personal, be present and take things one day at a time.
