Today we’d like to introduce you to Sunshine Shen.
So, before we jump into specific questions, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I first moved to L.A. to pursue my dream of becoming a Playboy Playmate and centerfold. I first attended Hefner’s Sunday Fundays after I was befriended by Hef’s best friend and long-time personal physician at one of the mansion parties. During the Sunday Fundays, I was allowed the privilege of hanging out with the family circle and I sat in the family section during movie nights; I got to know Hef and played lots of board games with him during the remaining years of his life. He selected me to become one of his Painted Ladies for all the mansion parties from 2015 to 2017 and it was such a mind-blowing experience representing Hef himself at the most well-known Playboy parties! Shortly after, I was published three times in the Playboy magazine. Then in 2018, sadly after Hef’s passing, I became cover girl and Playmate International Playboy (as well as cover girl for International FHM).
Being lucky enough to be in the mix with the upper crust of Beverly Hills from day one, I was quite the socialite during my earlier days in L.A. I enjoyed star-studded events, million dollar parties on a weekly basis, and floor seats at the Oscars and Grammys during award seasons. However, despite the fact that I still live in Beverly Hills present day, I’ve in the last couple of years been going on a bit of a spiritual journey and I discovered the importance of the concept “within not without”. Lured by the fascinating nature of metaphysics, my curiosity only grows stronger as the years go by. So, currently, I am building my social media and online platform for the purpose of guiding others through their individual soul-searching journeys! I am well prepared with a fantastic team and we’re ready to face any adversities that come our way! I’m very grateful and excited for the future!
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
No goals are ever easy to achieve! It took me many years to be able to leverage my logistics and make the move to L.A. I’ve been given so much by the universe along the way, but because I set my sights and goals high, the way up has been challenging to say the least. The most important lesson I learned along the way is that fear is simply a fragment of our mind and we need to trust the process no matter how impossible it may seem at the time and push forward. It’s a wonderful feeling to finally achieve a sense of spiritual peace and free myself of all judgment once and for all, but I’ll admit, shedding layers and layers of fear and anxiety has truly been the most difficult experience in my journey so far!
We’d love to hear more about your work and what you are currently focused on. What else should we know?
I’m currently building my platform based on my dream of aiding others in their own spiritual self-realization journeys. I truly feel that, because I have lived in two different countries and five cities in the USA alone, from the small city town of Tallahassee to ultra-luxurious beachfront properties in Maui and Honolulu, to Beverly Hills. I came across friends from all walks of life during my journey, and I can easily relate to anyone I come across. Not to mention, I’ve developed a hyper-sense of clairsentient abilities that allows me to size up stranger in matters of seconds. I truly feel that I’m walking my life’s purpose!
What is “success” or “successful” for you?
Success is different for everyone. It varies from person to person depending on our own life and circumstances. For this stage of my life, my idea of success is to follow my true purpose and manifest abundance to all areas of life!
