Pet Independence is the outgrowth of our love for running small businesses, home decor and cats and dogs.
We love creating an appealing home environment, want to give freedom to our pets, but often that can mean damaging the decor and design we strived so hard to create in the first place.
Pet Independence helps people avoid this. We sell and install pet doors that fit perfectly into your environment so both humans and their pets can have freedom and independence without diminishing the attractiveness of your home.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
We have been lucky. We are the only company that specializes in selling and installing high-quality pet doors and our niche meets a real demand for people.

Pet Independence can meet all Pet Door needs.
We can install pet doors in existing doors, through walls, including brick and stone, glass and other surfaces.
We also sell and install replacement doors with pet doors built-in.
We can usually provide quotes to people if they send us pictures of the locations they want the pet door to be installed in, but for a $30 fee, we will come to your home and recommend the best location for a pet door.
We sell both Hale, and Patio Pacific Endura flap pet doors and can usually install Endura Flap Pet Doors in 48 hours.

Our future plans are to continue servicing the markets we are currently in (LA, SF, Sacramento, San Diego, Orange County, Austin and Houston).
We are looking to expand our services in parts of California where we are not currently in operation.
Pricing:
- To install a pet door through an existing door, the cost is approximately $450-$750, depending on the size pet door we would need to get you.
- To install a pet door through a wall, the cost is approximately $750-950, depending on the type of material on the outside of your house and the size of your pet.
- Replacement doors cost approximately $850-1,200, depending on the size of your door and pet door.
