Meet Stephanie Perri DiBrizzi of The Chakra Stop in West Hills

Today we’d like to introduce you to Stephanie Perri DiBrizzi.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I’m 100% Italian, and as funny as it sounds, I grew up around many Italian women who would heal people through prayer and with use of objects. My grandma was a healer. She would use prayer, salt water (water dispelling method that I use today), objects like jewelry, crystals, etc. As a child I would watch people with all sorts of problems be healed, and I wanted to do the same. Helping people is a natural instinct for me. I feel as though I’ve always been an Empath. It’s very hard for me to be in crowded rooms or around people who are sad or hurting. I start to feel very heavy chested and extreme anxiety, and I can always tell it isn’t coming from my energy. My grandma taught me some things before she passed; then I became certified in Crystal Therapy.

Why crystal therapy? Since I was child, everywhere I’d go, I’d collect rocks, crystals, pine cones; anything from earth… I always felt like these things had great energy. Turns out, as I started to learn about them, they did. Everything from earth has a useful healing property and I was picking up on that. I was also extremely drawn to amethyst, sapphire & emerald my entire life. My family would ask me what I wanted for birthdays, holidays and gifts, and I’d always want something with those gemstones. If you know anything about those, you know that they are for your third eye (intuition) and heart chakra (empath abilities). As I got older, read books, studied energy healing, I knew I wanted to use my ability and knowledge to heal others. I’m certified in the Chakras & Crystal Therapy, and I use essential oils, singing bowls, bells, light therapy, water dispelling, incense, and a couple of other methods in my sessions.

Has it been a smooth road?
Being an energy healer and wanting to help people in that way is never a smooth road.

You have to deal with people not believing you can do what you say you can, wanting discounts or free sessions, making jokes, not taking you seriously, sometimes finding a way to pay rent when you haven’t made money that month, etc… However, I’ve always believed in myself and my abilities, and I let my sessions speak for themselves. So many of my clients have told me I’ve changed their lives. That’s all I’ve needed to hear. I don’t pay attention to the negative and I welcome the skeptics. Always believe you are worth it, because you are.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with The Chakra Stop – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
I do crystal therapy / crystal healing. People come to me with me only knowing their name and phone number. You lay on my table, and I lay crystals on your body and detect where in your chakras (energy centers) you have blockages. These blockages can lead to emotional, physical, mental and spiritual pain. I check for these blockages both in your present time and in the past. After checking, I perform a full chakra balancing with guided meditation. I use crystals, essential oils, a singing bowl, a bell, light therapy, water dispelling, meditation music and incense. I send all of my client’s home with a handout explaining their chakras, where they had blockages and how they’d feel them; crystals to use for meditation, and other handouts that explain how to eat for the chakras, etc…

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
I love that our city is so open to metaphysical practices and healing methods. People are just very open to new experiences and trying new things and that makes me happy. They are also very into their health & wellness, which is a definite plus. I don’t like how spread out our city is and how much traffic there is. I get calls from people who live in Santa Monica, Beverly Hills, Pasadena, etc. But they won’t drive to West Hills for a healing.
