Today we’d like to introduce you to Stephanie Korour.
Hi Stephanie, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I created Empowered Elixir, an organic energy & focus tea company because I wanted something powerful & effective that I could drink every day to replace coffee and sugary energy drinks.
My journey began when I was in law school. I was juggling work, school work & sports. I would often crave a pick me up, but coffee & other energy drinks would make me feel anxious & jittery. I wanted something that could take to help me perform at my peak. Despite all my searches, there wasn’t anything on the market in the ready-to-drink category that was clean enough for me to want to take. This led me to explore supplements, teas and natural roots & herbs, I began experimenting in her kitchen, creating my own elixirs and tonics. I shared my creations with family and friends, who were amazed by the results and encouraged me to turn my hobby into a business.
In 2021, I officially launched Empowered Elixir. It quickly gained a loyal following, selling them at local farmers’ markets, gyms, fitness centers and health food stores. I’ve sold out three times since my launch date.
Through hard work and dedication, I’ve grown Empowered Elixir into a successful business, adding additional flavors and reaching a wider audience. Today, Empowered Elixir is sold across the country, and I’ve built a strong community of customers who love the organic & effective clean beverage to empower themselves to do more of what sets their souls on fire.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
When I first started, I had no idea how to bring a beverage to market, it was a challenging process to learn. However, I persevered and faced many obstacles along the way. It was through taking action, making mistakes, and the guidance of incredible advisors and mentors that I learned the ins and outs of the beverage industry. These experiences are character-building moments that have helped me grow both personally and professionally. I have learned to rely on myself more than ever and understand that when it comes to your business, no one will care about it as much as you do. And in practice, I was most surprised to see how some individuals didn’t share the same level of care & integrity toward their own businesses. I’ve had to learn that if I want to achieve something, it’s up to me to make it happen.
