

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sohrab Sheikhha.
Sohrab, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
Well, it started when I was younger. I always had the tendency to help others and to do my best so others could see the best results. As I grew older, I figured that hard work and service is what greatly contributes to success. The best businesses in town are the ones with the greatest service, and my personal desire to please others have led me down this road.
My older brother, Siavash, and I opened a cellphone store when I was 18 years old. When we started this business, it was just like any business in its early stages – we put tons of hours in and barely broke even. So I decided to tap into the skills I acquired when I was younger and began designing websites. However, the web design industry became too vast and saturated, and many of our potential clients were going away to bigger companies that offered pre-made templates for a smaller cost. I figured the best way to overcome this obstacle is to do what these companies can’t offer – provide the ultimate customized web development experience to my clients and have them take their wildest dreams and turn them into businesses. That was something there was no template for, and it needed customization from the get-go. After successfully completing a few projects on my own, I partnered in on few other projects and was again successful, paving the way for my business which helps startups reach their goals.
The best part of my journey thus far is meeting people with great ideas and dreams and being able to show them that their “idea” has the potential of becoming a successful enterprise.
Has it been a smooth road?
It has not been a smooth road, but luckily, there hasn’t been too much turbulence either. Obviously, the biggest struggle for most startups is money. As a business which deals with many startups in helping them to achieve the goals they have created, the dilemma always stems from one question – “How can we market it?”
Creation is simple. It is the dedication and diligence required to make it a success and problem solve that is difficult. For me, that’s the fun part. Finding a solution to any problem is perhaps the most incredible feeling in the world. I guess that is why you don’t hear of many people that hate treasure hunting.
Back to our story, once the creation is done, the biggest issue is marketing. It held the same for when I developed a cell phone store, it was true when I developed my web design business, and up to this day it still holds true for any startup we work on.

Yoyab is a start-up studio with programmers, designers, marketers, and content writers who work around the clock to help other startups reach their goals and finally attain their dreams throughout the web.
The majority of the Start Ups we deal with are web-based solutions which target either the public or a specific industry. We come from a web-development background, so our goal is essentially to help those that are also trying to expand their businesses that are based on online ideas. We specialize in helping startups with the initial steps – registering the entity, writing business plans, collecting the related documents that are needed for loans and/or investors, and then work with them to build the web-based solutions that they have in mind and market it to the public. Because of our vast abilities, many of our clients have come to us only at first for the initial process but have remained with us as we have helped them achieve their goals.
What pushes us as a company is our curiosity as to how different peoples’ thought processes work and how we can translate their ideas into successful businesses. We listen to people, delve straight into their ideas, understand their expectations, and provide them with the support and tools necessary to stick with their goals. Once we deliver, it is their satisfaction and their smiles that we are most proud of.

Los Angeles is the city where dreams come true – dreams are in the city’s roots. I feel that Los Angeles is the city where you can truly achieve attest to the American dream. If you work hard, you will get where you want to get.
The thing that I like the least about Los Angeles is that there isn’t more of it.
