Meet Soheil Levi of Playa Vista Dental Care

.Today we’d like to introduce you to Soheil Levi.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Soheil. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I was thirteen years old when Iranian revolution happened and my parents in pursuit of a better life for me encouraged me to leave Iran. But then war broke out and they would not allow any young Jewish families to leave Iran especially if you are approaching draft to the army age. My good friend and I escaped the borders of Iran to Turkey and we got arrested in Turkey and was placed in facility until we were checked out not to be of bad character. After few month, we were released and we immediately traveled to Spain. At the time, Spain and Italy did not need proper documentations to enter the country. We first went to Madrid and then Barcelona until after few months we were able to obtain our US Visa. While we were in Spain, we budgeted to live on three dollars a day since we had no source of income. The day I arrived in Los Angeles was one of the best days of my life as I knew the land of opportunity is here. I finished high school by age of 17 and college by 20, and went to USC dental school and became a dentist at age of 24 and then USC periodontics school to obtain my specialty degree in Implants and periodontics at age of 26

Has it been a smooth road?
My obstacle had been just getting to the United States. I never considered not having money an obstacle as I believed in myself and what I can accomplish. Hard work and determination pays off at the end

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Playa Vista Dental Care – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
Dentistry is about mixing art and science. I specialize in periodontics and implant dentistry and my wife whom is a dentist as well works alongside by me for the past twenty years or so.

I am proud of providing high-quality dental work and in creating jobs for lots of our employees.

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
I love the diversity of our city and its proximity to the beach. I hate the nightmare traffic.
