Meet Sheree Ho of Posh Classy Mom in West LA

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sheree Ho.

Sheree, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I am a fashion, lifestyle, luxury travel blogger and content creator currently living and blogging from Los Angeles. An ex-corporate management turned full-time mom with two toddlers (son 5 and daughter 3). I start my blog 3 years ago when I quit my job and became a full-time mom, so that I can spend more time with my family.

When I first started the blog, it was just a hobby to pass time while my daughter takes her hundreds of daily naps. Posh Classy Mom was first a family blog as I want to inspire fellow moms that it is ok to be a full-time mom and share the daily details of my SAHM life. I didn’t cover any fashion topics nor any trends and I didn’t expect that it would grow into what it is today. As the blog grew, I started to share good shopping deal, my skincare and beauty tips, talk about motherhood, and showcased my daughter’s growth. Today, Posh Classy Mom is one of the Top Mom Lifestyle Blog ranked by Alexa.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
They say that the first year of blogging is the most difficult. It is absolutely true and not only the first year but I would say the first two years. Not only is your presents unknown, you have to focus on building relationships and network. I actually didn’t convert to fashion and lifestyle blog until a few months in when I see that my readers respond more when I talk about that versus the dinner recipe. Once I decided to really give blogging some serious thoughts, my strategies become different and it is no longer just a hobby. I call it a hobby with a purpose. You need to be extremely focused and self-motivated.

I can honestly say that for the first year and a half, I have thought about quitting at least once a week. I find that I don’t have inspirations to gab about Pastels for Spring and Plaids are In like every other blogger. So, I started the Real Talk series where I share my frustrations with my readers and fellow bloggers and go so many encouragements and resonance from everyone. That really helped me to keep going and not give up.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Posh Classy Mom – what should we know?
Posh Classy Mom is a destination blog and community that shares fashion, beauty, skincare, lifestyle and travel tips and inspirations. I think because I cover a wide range of topics, it attracts readers of all interests. I don’t just write about fashion or trends, I also like to introduce readers to new skincare products, travel destinations that are less touristy.

I also talk about the struggles and challenges I come across as a blogger. Mistakes I’ve made and the lesson I learned. I think readers can relate to the realness and that it is not just a page full of pretty photos.

Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
I think being relatable behind the camera and always keep an open agenda. I don’t just share the beautiful images, I share stories of HOW those beautiful images came to life. I share the behind the scene photo of one of the beautiful product shots I did for a large beauty brand and it was a very homemade backdrop, lots of DIY props and I think people really appreciate seeing the realness.
