Today we’d like to introduce you to Shannon Nakia Crawford.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Shannon Nakia. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I first started in Sustainable Fashion and Decor when I moved into my very own apartment: My first adulting adventure!
I had very little money yet, I had a huge desire to STYLE my home. So my imaginative wheels started to turn, thus birthing my love for DIY and Thrifting.
Pinching pennies not only bred my creativity but awakened a newfound passion that was lying dormant inside of me for quite some time.
Since then Fervently Chic’ was born, a DIY and Sustainability approach to Fashion and Home Decor.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It hasn’t been a smooth road however, it hasn’t been difficult either.
The one challenge I’ve encountered thus far is convincing people that you can be just as “Fly” and “Flawless” on a shoestring budget. However, as more people are becoming more aware of sustainability, what I do is becoming more intriguing.
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Fervently Chic’ – what should we know?
Fervently Chic’ is a Sustainable Fashion and Home Decor Consultant who loves to style homes and individuals through the use of THRIFTED items.
The proudest moment for Fervently Chic’ was booking her very first client for a DIY project as well transforming a space with all thrifted items.
The use of THRIFTED items and/or repurposing items is what sets this company apart from all the rest.
Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
Creativity.
