Meet Shani Atias

Today we’d like to introduce you to Shani Atias.

Shani, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I was born and raised in Israel, dreaming of being an actress since I was nine years old. I modeled a bit as a teenager and took theatre in high school. Served in the IDF as a commander for basic training in a combat unit and as soon as I completed my military service, I moved to LA to pursue acting. I went to Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute, worked hard on my craft, thinking I would move back to Israel right after, I then realized I have to give my acting career a real shot in Hollywood, after all I’m already here.

I went back to Israel to visit my family, ended up signing with my agent (together till this day) and landed a series regular role in the hit teen show “Galis” for 60 episodes. I had an amazing time and gained so much experience and friends for life.

I came back to LA in 2013, started working in TV & Film on shows such as: Shameless, NCIS Los Angeles, Ten Days in The Valley, Macgyver, LA’s Finest, NCIS, CSI Cyber and more). In the first couple of years, I went back and forth to Israel still working there as well.

Got married in Israel in 2018, now having LA as my base, I live here with my husband.

The whole COVID situation pushed us all to think outside the box, and I really can’t stay home and do nothing, so I decided to create something of my own. Producing and hosting a talk show called Road To Success. Launching this week on my instagram page.

Has it been a smooth road?
Moving to a whole new country brings a lot of challenges with it, challenges that I embrace as they made me who I am today, they made me stronger and able to handle anything that comes my way. Whether it was starting from ground up building myself, trying to get an agent, a manager, “getting in the door”, mentality changes, having to work on my accent, booking my first few acting credits, making new friends and being away from my family.

We’d love to hear more about your work and what you are currently focused on. What else should we know?
I am an actress, mostly working in TV & Film, lately also in voice-over, dubbing and hosting.

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
This is where dreams are made of. Where dreams feel possible, where you dare, where you tirelessly pursue your passion surrounded by people that share your passion. I like that LA offers such a big variety that I think anyone could find an area they can relate to, whether it’s by the beach, by the hills, surrounded by urban skyscrapers or in a homey cozy neighborhood.
