Today we’d like to introduce you to Shane Kirby.
Shane, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I’ve always been moved but images between my mother’s art and my father’s photography. That is ultimately how I ended in the City of Los Angeles working in film and photography.
Moved to LA and have been living here the past six years. In that time, I’ve been constantly in flow with the creative world. Meeting and working with many of my favorite artists. I love helping others share their story.
The city of LA has become my second home.
Mainly shoot Music, Fashion, and Lifestyle.
Has it been a smooth road?
Everyone struggles somehow, especially in uncertain times. It’s important to remember that those trials are what creates your uniqueness. The world needs more uniqueness all the time. I love my family. Together we’ve learned we can get through anything together. We lost too many loved ones early in life. Loss is a pain that stays with you. Struggles can become your strengths.
Please tell us more about your art.
I’m a visual narrator of sorts. Imagery and visual movement have always been fascinating to me. It’s always about the story. It’s always about the motion. It’s always about being authentic. Some creative totems I operate under in my creative work.
I’m most proud of developing patience for myself in business. Be unapologetically you, once you can find that you’re unstoppable.
My work is my eye, it’s taken many years of studying to understand the value in that. I am never creating from a perspective of temporary relevance, it’s timeless or nothing.
How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
