Meet Shain Leyton

Today we’d like to introduce you to Shain Leyton.

Shain is a fine jewelry designer born and raised in Los Angeles. Her jewelry story began more than 10 years ago as a sales associate at Moondance Jewelry Gallery in Santa Monica. After working closely with clients, going to trade shows and years of retail Shain was ready to flip the script and start her own collection.

Shain Leyton Jewelry is available online and in retailers near you, Ron Herman on melrose and Malibu as well as Moondance Jewelry Gallery in Santa Monica & Millo Jewelry in New York. “I have a two-year-old and a 5-year-old who keep me on my toes. I love cycle house and yoga at Y7. Hiking is a huge stress reliever for me and I totally believe in self-care! My tip for working moms is organization and to-do lists. Tackle one thing at a time and everything will get done!” Xo Shain

Please tell us about your work.
I make 14K Gold fine jewelry set with high-quality cruelty-free diamonds and precious gemstones. I design classic pieces that could be passed down to generations. Modern heirlooms that tell a story and mark a time or celebration. Fine jewelry made to enhance the beauty that is already there and make you feel good.

Given everything that is going on in the world today, do you think the role of artists has changed? How do local, national or international events and issues affect your art?
Catastrophes like natural disasters affect the market and the public wants to shop and spend money. With a luxury item like fine jewelry, it isn’t a necessity, so when the fires were happening in Malibu two of my retailers closed their doors and months later the community was so shattered, they weren’t shopping for jewelry, rather rebuilding their homes and communities.

How or where can people see your work? How can people support your work?
