Meet Seth Glassman of Takami Sushi & Robata Restaurant in Downtown

Today we’d like to introduce you to Seth Glassman.

21 floors above Downtown LA’s Financial District floats one of the most unique restaurant concepts Southern California has ever experienced.  Takami Sushi & Robata Restaurant serves the highest quality Sushi, Robata, and Japanese-influenced entrees.  Tantalize your senses with our unique and freshly prepared Signature cocktails. Takami boasts unparalleled views of the LA area with outdoor patio dining, the first in a Downtown high rise restaurant.

Has it been a smooth road?
There are always going to be bumps in the road and challenges in any business- not just the restaurant business. You will encounter new things everyday as the world is always changing. How you adjust, and how you overcome any adversity is the important thing.

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Takami Sushi & Robata Restaurant story. Tell us more about the business.
The views are absolutely spectacular from the 21st floor. It is great for lunch, dinner, or even just relaxing while having a drink. The restaurant is unique because of the diverse food we offer. If you are not a big sushi eater, there are still many other options. We offer Robata.

Robata-yaki In Japanese literally translates to (“fireside-cooking”), Often shortened to just robata, refers to a method of cooking, similar to barbecue, in which items of food on skewers are slow-grilled over bincho-tan hot charcoal. The items coming off the grill, as well as our Traditional Japanese dishes coming from the kitchen allows for a wide variety of selections for our guest to choose from.

Food and ambiance are tremendous, the chefs do a phenomenal job creating new dishes everyday. However, what sets us apart from the others is our service. Many of the staff have been here from Day 1. They know all the regulars and cater to their every need. We want all our guests to feel at home at Takami. We are always trying to provide the ultimate dining experience.
