Hi Selena, we’re so thrilled to have you sharing your story with us today. Maybe we can kick things off by having you introduce yourself to our readers? We’d love to have you go into your story and how you got to where you are today.
Always rejected never accepted.
Lived in a place of fear for years due to rejection from others especially after being terminated from a job where I worked for 20 years. Insecurities and fear held me hostage.
Even though I knew I was created to be great and achieve greatness. However, due to insecurities dimmed my shine. Fear , insecurities and comfort had become my danger zone and I was spiritually and mentally dying. Until…
Growing through my process for about 7 years (started almost a year or two before I was terminated from my federal government job) It started with challenging my truths (1st book I began to work on) and shifted to the process of earning the success I deserved and was created to accomplish.after growing in the process I began to transform, recognize and embrace my TAGS (True Authentic Greatness) over come my fears, regain confidence and just do it!
Today, I am fulfilling my purpose, calling and dream of empower others (this place feels like home) and becoming the serial entrepreneur and business owner I’ve seen and felt since I was a child and that my mother knew and believed in me.
Please tell us more about your brand, Shift N2 Power
Shift N2 Power is a coaching firm. I am a published author and coach. I assist clients to shift from a place of survival to a position of action. I assist clients to EARN the success the desire. Through seven steps: Establish a solid foundation for success, Abandoning false and negative behaviors and thoughts to advance to their next level. Refocus and reset. Execute Actions that will gain the Result clients desire and Never give up. I’m most proud of as a brand is my solutions are realistic and impactful. I am coaching from. Place of experience and transparency.
So, as we mentioned to our audience earlier, you were introduced to us by Dr. April J. Lisbon and Running Your Race Enterprises and we really admire them and what they’ve built. For folks who might not be as familiar, can you tell them a bit about your experience with Running Your Race Enterprises .
My experience with Dr. April was empowering! She assisted me me in stepping out of the shadows, away from fear and embrace my story and be vulnerable with others to tell it. My story is powerful. And I can’t empower others if I’m afraid of being vulnerable with others.
Dr. Aprils show have me a platform to be okay with being open and putting myself out there for others- not to judge but to help empower. She gave me a deadline for the show which pushed me to get my book published. This was my opportunity and moment and I could earn my success or stay stuck and I was tired of being stuck and then the spirit of God spoke and said it was time. And if I had the faith he would supply what was required for this project. He provided Dr. April and the funds. And I walked in obedience.
I’m met Dr. April when she dated my relative, which they later married and had children. And though we did not have a relationship then it was when the marriage needed she and I connected over Facebook. I washed her and admired her for the moves she was taking. I would reach out to her from time to time. Nothing consistent . However when she started her show, I wanted to support this journey, yet I also knew it was my time.
She allowed me to ask questions (piquing my interest). BUT her just her living through her fears and unknowns her journey, her story. Single woman with children and a child with a special gift was empowering in a way that made me realize I to could do this. I too could own my Ish and know that it’s okay and it’s okay to be open, transparent and vulnerable – your story I sent for everyone, but it’s for someone. And it’s that someone you are called to.
