Today we’d like to introduce you to Sean Wing.
Sean, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
Hmmm. I think my mother being a dancer, got me interested in the arts. And how I got to where I am today? I said yes a lot? I have done a lot of different things and I think that’s what excites me. It’s all storytelling really but I love learning new technologies and brainstorming new ways to tell a story. Music, film, animation… I’m currently learning how to build video games to have more tools.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The bumpiest of roads. Still bumpy. But I like the bumps. A smooth road isn’t very fun. Bumps include self-doubt, self-sabotage, being broke, heartbreak, sick family members, the internet, life, death, age, eating too much.
What else should our readers know?
I suppose I specialize in creativity. I’ve always been helplessly creative. Too many things I want to do, too many things I wanna make. I’m most proud of things I make. I am less proud of, say, acting in other projects. I feel a great deal of satisfaction from something that came directly from my brain resonating with someone.
Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
Creativity and humor.
