Today we’d like to introduce you to Sean George.
Sean, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I’ve always loved illusions and stories. There’s nothing better, in the world than a finely executed magic trick. Just don’t ask the magician how they did it. You’ll never feel better knowing, compared to the awe of having the wool pulled over your eyes. Over the years, I’ve built a bag of tricks, some good some of the parlor variety, all in service of the illusion of film making.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
I moved from Boston to LA several years ago. I had been doing video work, comedy, music, and puppetry for a decade at that point. Coming to Los Angeles as a jack of all trades is great but no one can do it all and finding the right partners is the first and best thing a creative can do when arriving in a new town. I was fortunate to find other like-minded Schlock Meisters through Places like Second City, Freelance Gigs, and various holes in the wall.
So, as you know, we’re impressed with Heckler Films – tell our readers more, for example, what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
My company, Heckler Films often plays for laughs, but we’ll pull the wool over audience’s eyes from our Production HQ in the Uncanny Valley. If you’ve got an idea, we’re here to help you develop it.
