Meet Sean “Fresh” Redding of Stayfrsh in North Hollywood

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sean “Fresh” Redding of Stayfrsh.

So, before we jump into specific questions, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
Born in Hartford, CT. Started dancing at the age of two. Was put into a lot of Talent shows growing up. Led me to attend Hampton University in VA., graduated with a degree in Business/Entrepreneurship. Moved to Los Angeles, immediately was recruited and signed to Bloc Agency 2010.

Enhance my craft on a daily becoming more involved in choreography, creative directing and teaching! Some artist I’ve worked with: Will I am, Pharell, Justin Bieber, Kendrick Lamar, Kanye West. Some shows: BET awards, Grammys, Billboard Awards, jimmy Kimmel, Coachella. Commercials: KIA Hamster, Nike, Fedex, Allstate.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
I always refer back to this quote “without struggle, there is no progress.”

I really believe that if you are not growing, you’re decaying. So No, it absolutely hasn’t been a smooth road and I wouldn’t regret any of the challenges of my past and future. I embrace my journey with open arms because it makes ever goal accomplished worth it. My biggest struggle was always finances and continuing to do what I love. During the times when I would have only 10 cents to my name I would always find a way to build my craft and know that when the time comes I would be ready and worth every dollar plus interest. Being broke is temporary and I knew I was becoming a great product and brand!

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Stayfrsh – what should we know?
I consider myself be similar to an Octopus with my hands in multiple businesses. lol

stayFRSH : Personal Brand, this is the umbrella name for all my choreography, Creative Directing and teaching is under.

TFK (The Freshest Kid Co.): Apparel Co. urban cultured style for everyone in the art and entertainment way of life. Was founded in 2010 in hopes to build a scholarship fund called “Lucky” for African Americans attending out of state colleges and Universities.

Oceans 11/Oceans 12/ Oceans 13: My Dance Conglomerates brought together to build a platform for Dancers that would be overlooked, providing opportunities to perform, build a family community, training, videos, mentorship and always be prepared for Industry gigs.

CodeRed Ent.: Entertainment company providing parties, party planning, and functions all throughout Hollywood and North Hollywood areas.

Completely proud of what I’ve done so far and ready for so much more. I would say that I’m most proud of the people I’ve brought up in this industry. I’m extremely invested in those that ask me to be their mentor plus the ones I teach and to see them flourish lets me know everyday that I’m doing something right. I see a lot of people only around to take, I’m there to add value. Which I also know that that set me apart from thousands of people.

Any shoutouts? Who else deserves credit in this story – who has played a meaningful role?
First and foremost GOD. Everything I asked for he said No and gave me something bigger.

Mother and Grandmother Michele x Evelyn Redding – the Sacrifices these women made in their lives for me to become the first out of the family and Projects to ever go to college, graduate and make it to LA to follow my dreams, I knew them the world.

Lastly, Adrian “Dubz and Fatima Robinson, if it wasn’t for them giving me the opportunity to showcase my gift and offering major life-changing jobs that I wasn’t only able to do by myself but also hire other dancers. I couldn’t have asked for better mentors!
