Meet Sean Brown

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sean Brown.

Sean, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
As a kid, I was always inspired by music, I was always making beats on the lunch tables at school, rapping with friends, etc. I come from a creative family, my mother is an artist, as well as my grandmother. Thankfully the creative gene was passed down to me. I was truly inspired the first time I heard Kanye West, once I found out he was a producer and a rapper that’s exactly what I wanted to do. At that time friends at school were passing around a bootleg version of Fruity Loops (which is now called FL Studio) and it landed in my hands…haven’t stopped since.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It definitely has not been smooth. As they say, anything worth having doesn’t come easy. There were nights I wanted to quit, there was a period in my life I was depressed and even contemplated suicide several times. Lost lots of friends and even family members. Lost money. Through the grace of God, I was able to overcome all of the adversity. This road is a lonely road, one minute you’re hot and you have so much support, the next minute you’re cold and no one’s around. You have to be willing to stay the course because I promise you it all pays off. The thing you have to ask yourself is how much are you willing to do when no one is looking, if you’re willing to constantly grind while no one cares then you got this!

Can you give our readers some background on your music?
I’m a music producer and song-writer. I used to be an artist but now I’m strictly on the production side of things. What sets me apart from others is work ethic, I feel like no one can beat my hustle. This past Friday, I just signed a deal, it’s my most proud moment this far.

What were you like growing up?
Growing up, I was the kid that was into sports heavy. Cool with everyone, class clown. Always cracking jokes and just living in the moment.
