Meet Scott Ware of Radiance Magazine

Today we’d like to introduce you to Scott Ware.

Scott, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
Getting cancer changes a person. I had always known there was more to life than what our five senses told us – that our hunches and intuition were another way of saying we’re all psychic – but also being faced with my own mortality caused me to look at life differently. During and after my cancer treatments I asked myself if I was truly living the life I wanted to live or was I following the expectations of others? Could I trust that soft voice deep inside of me that was telling me I was meant for something else?

Then it was “given” to me that I should start a spiritual magazine, which would utilize many of my existing skills and interests. But once I did a search and discovered Radiance Magazine was currently featured at 70 locations, I inquired and found out they had just closed down the magazine. So I reopened it and under Danielle Marie Hewitt’s non-profit Temple of Light, restarted and expanded it to 640 SoCal locations from West L.A. to Carlsbad and into the Inland Empire.

Whether it be a yoga studio, metaphysical of health food store, if a business has a high-vibrating clientele they will find complimentary copies of Radiance for anyone interested in expanding their soul journey and discovering their reason for being here on the planet.

Has it been a smooth road?
Where are the people who want to focus on their spiritual journey? Deciding where to give access to this amazing awakening information is always an interesting challenge.

Radiance has information for your body-mind-soul connection, so having a stack of it in a holistic healing office is a given. But what about bowling alleys? Car washes? Yes and yes. Certain coffeehouses are more likely to distribute it than others, so it’s always an ongoing conversation with the owners, which I enjoy doing.

We’d love to hear more about your business.
For many people in the world, Southern California is synonymous with holistic practices, self-care, self-love, soul journey, spiritual awakening, metaphysical studies, natural health, and energy healing, and Radiance Magazine – Integrative Health at its Best has become the largest such magazine in SoCal.

Its online presence (radiancemagazine.org) reaches thousands more, and it gives the local holistic and spiritual practitioners an opportunity to share their heart offerings for healing. I am honored and privileged to provide a “megaphone” for their practice because these are people who want to make the world a better place, one wounded heart at a time, and have devoted their lives to helping people live their best lives possible.

I want to amplify their message anyway I can, so I’ve also started a weekly podcast called “The Ware With All” that features practitioners from Radiance and gives them another opportunity to share their modality and love for people. If your heart is open even a little, the offerings from Radiance will fill you with even more love and healing, I promise.

Is our city a good place to do what you do?
What can you say about L.A. that hasn’t been said? People here are generally open. If you hear that someone just had a past life transgression session where they discovered they were a knight charged with protecting a family and that those dynamics help them figure out how to heal trauma in this life, you aren’t surprised.

If someone says they went to a drum circle that involved hape plant medicine and they experienced a quantum shift where their life purpose came into sharp focus bringing them deeper happiness, you don’t blink.

If you tell a friend your psychic enhancement class enabled you to see that an aspect of your friend’s life that empowered them to take an important step they’d been avoiding, they nod and say “awesome.” Or they say Namaste, which means my soul honors yours, or the Divine in me greets the Divine in you.

This increases the flow of divine love, and even if you are challenged in believing any of this is real, you can actually start to FEEL the love first and work backwards to your Self. Because our mission, many believe, is to Know Thyself, and all of the experiences available in Radiance are there to aid you in that.
