So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
My journey began almost 10 years ago, I was in Los Angeles attending a beauty industry training when I met a lovely lady who had the most beautiful eyelashes that I had the ever seen. They looked like they could be her own lashes, they were long, curly and thick in a natural looking way. To my surprise when I complimented how much I loved her lashes she told me they were extensions. I was so intrigued and in awe of how they would look on me that I asked her for the lady’s number that did them. I was able to get an appointment my last day in LA. I recall being so excited, I could not wait to see how they would look on me. They looked so pretty and natural as if I was born with extremely long thick curly lashes and had one coat of a perfect non-clumpy looking mascara. From that moment on I fell in love with lash extensions. A few weeks later I became certified to do eyelash extensions and after about six months of practicing on everyone I could get my hands on I added the service to my facial studio. It’s been a total rush and hard work, but I still am excited about lashing.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
I can honestly say that it’s been so fun. I enjoy meeting new clients and love getting to know my clients, it’s a delight catching up like when you visit your hairstylist. I guess the hardest part is when people move away. Also, its challenging but I always enjoy the growth that comes with it.

My name is Sandra “Sandey” Richardson and I am the founder of Blinklash which is my eyelash extension salon. I specialize in the advanced application of eyelash extensions including classic and volume methods. I love creating transformation before my client’s eyes which instantly raises their self-esteem and makes their life easier by cutting their makeup routine in half. I have had the privilege of performing over 10,000 eyelash extension services in the last decade. I am known for my patience, caring and listening skills which facilitate creating a look that is unique to each customers lifestyle and taste making every set a one of a kind masterpiece. I am very passionate about beauty and health, I hold a Bachelor of Science in natural medicine and have been in the cosmetology industry since 2001.
So, what’s next? Any big plans?
I am open to connecting with wonderful partners to further blossom into the next level of business. I believe that to grow it is vital to have a team with the right combination of talented minds. 2018 is going to be big year full of wonderful opportunities and responsibilities to embrace both in business and within the community.
