Hi Sanam, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
BODO Activewear was born from a vision to serve women over 30 who are educated, health-conscious, and passionate about self-care. As the founder, my aim was to create a brand that empowers these women by offering activewear that seamlessly blends comfort with luxury. I wanted to design apparel that not only supports their active lifestyles but also makes them feel confident and stylish. With BODO, I want to show that they can accomplish anything while enjoying premium, thoughtfully crafted workout clothes.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
That’s a great question! I’d say yes, because I truly love what I’m doing. However, the reality is that no startup has a completely smooth journey. Every day brings new challenges, whether it’s issues with design execution, fabric selection, shipping, or even social media and website management.
One of my biggest struggles has been handling errors on my website’s product pages or backend. I recognize this as a weak point for me, but I’m committed to putting in the extra effort to learn more about the key aspects of my website’s backend. I always remind myself that “no one cares about your business more than you do.”

I launched BODO ActiveWear in 2023 with a clear mission: to provide premium activewear designed specifically for powerful women and moms aged 30 and up. Drawing from my background in Fashion Design at FIDM and my experience as a fitness trainer, I created a brand that combines high-quality design with functional fitness wear. Each piece embodies empowerment, strength, and confidence.
From the initial sketches to finding the perfect factory to bring my vision to life, every step of this journey has been an exhilarating challenge. I truly believe that when you pour your heart into something, no obstacle should deter you. Even the inevitable detours and challenges are opportunities for growth.

If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
I believe resilience is the most important quality for my success. The journey of building BODO ActiveWear has been filled with challenges, from design hurdles to logistical issues. Staying adaptable and committed to my vision has allowed me to navigate these obstacles effectively. Resilience helps me learn from setbacks, embrace change, and maintain my passion, ultimately driving the growth and evolution of my brand.
