Meet Samuel and Elizabeth Santos of Suda Fitness Training in Downey

Today we’d like to introduce you to Samuel and Elizabeth Santos.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
During our worst financial situation back on 2014, we asked God for a direction and that’s when God gave us a vision of what Suda Fit is today.

We decided to start everything by faith and trusting him. As soon as we got that mentality, everything started aligning towards the right direction.

3 years later, we run a very successful business in which we also help many people in our community.

Here @SUDAFIT our vision is to create a community and educate them on how to live a fitness lifestyle, in which there is a perfect balance, physical, mental and spiritually!

Has it been a smooth road?
We had many challenges… we learned that without a process, there’s no story.

Challenges are the ones that will build your character. Some of them were: we struggle financially when we started, since we ran out of money during the construction and remodeling of the facilities. We started with no clientele at all, so it was stressful, to think how we were going to cover the rent. Once we were into 6 month in the business, we stayed without an apartment, we lost it, because we didn’t have money for apartment rent, so he lives inside the gym in a room for another 6 months… we have no showers, so we had to shower with the sinks in the bathroom.

So, let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Suda Fitness Training story. Tell us more about the business.
We are a group Training boot camp gym. We help people change their lifestyle, by educating them in how to eat and how to be more active. We are proud of how many lives we’ve been able to change. We cater to our clients with their personal needs.

How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
We are looking into building our second location, on May 2018, which will be twice the size and will have more things to offer such as… kids day care, showers, bigger personal training area and much more.
