Meet Rosanna Rocker of Stay Out of the Gutter

Today we’d like to introduce you to Rosanna Rocker.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I own quite a few apartment buildings in the Los Angeles area and a few years ago, I lost one of my roofs as a result of water damage. My roofer explained that because my gutters had been clogged with debris from the surrounding trees, there was a buildup rainwater that had no way to drain, which severely damaged the roof and the stucco.

As a Los Angeles native, rain and the potential damage that rainwater can cause was never something in the forefront of my mind, but after this incident, I was determined to keep my gutters clean to protect my buildings.

Having multiple units to manage, I wanted to find a company that would service my gutters with an automatic consistency, a lot like a gardening or pool service. There was nobody in Los Angeles or Orange County area that could provide this service, so, I decided to create my own company that would focus on gutter cleaning.

Since then, our company has grown to also offer custom rain gutters in 30 different colors, installation and repairs. We’re licensed, bonded and insured, and we provide the best gutter maintenance in our areas.

Has it been a smooth road?
My partner and I believe in doing business with honesty and integrity and have been blessed with a very smooth road and a successful company. We treat our customers the way we would like to be treated and take pride in each and every account and project. No job is too big or too small.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Stay Out of the Gutter – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
We specialize in the maintenance, repair, and installation of rain gutters and fascia boards in primarily multi-unit buildings. We pride ourselves in using proactive measures and regular cleaning services to save people’s roofs and stucco. Our leading foreman is knowledgeable in engineering and understands the importance of the proper angles and placements of gutters in order to maximize their drainage efficiency and he trains our team to apply these concepts out in the field. We’re also incredibly focused on environmental sustainability and have begun offering the installation of receptacles that collect rainwater and runoff, which can be repurposed for use in gardens and landscaping. Living in a desert, it’s important that we capitalize on all of the resources that we’re given and using these barrels allows us to reduce our waste and maximize our sustainability.

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
I love how LA is such a diverse city. As a home to people from many different cultural backgrounds and heritages, Los Angeles is truly a melting pot that welcomes and encourages these unique perspectives…. and our beautiful weather is just the icing on the cake!

It’s easy to pick what I like least about our city, the traffic!
