Thanks for sharing your story with us Ron. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
How I started is a bit bitter sweet but as everyone says “it happens for the best”. I arrived home one day to see my house was broken into and a lot of my stuff were either stolen or damaged. After filing the paperwork with the police department, I called a locksmith and he was able to arrive within the hour. He was one of the nicest people I’ve met. Besides giving me an amazing price, he explained to me so much about locks and spent a couple of hours showing me how to rekey a lock, pick a lock and even duplicate a key. After he left, instead of caring about what had been stolen, I just thought how cool of a job to help people out by helping them get into their homes, cars, repair locks and offer better security for their homes or businesses. A couple a weeks later I decided to become a locksmith, the best locksmith I can be. After 10 years of been a licensed and certified locksmith, I wake up every day excited to get in my service van and start helping people out.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Like any beginning, it is not always easy but it is definitely worth all of the hard work you put into building your business and trying to get the maximum exposure to get more customers. With the internet being the best way to get customers, you need to put a lot of work into building that aspect but it does get easier as you start receiving a lot of referrals and open bigger accounts.
OC Keys & Locksmith Guys – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
We specialize in residential, commercial and automotive locksmith. I can assume all of the companies want to have the best customer service but I switched my real estate profession and became a locksmith because of that amazing customer service I received from a locksmith technician when someone broke into my house. I promised myself that I will not only become the best locksmith technician, I will offer the best customer service. We will work with your budget and make sure your home is secured.
What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
I think every day I have small proud moments. If someone is locked out of their car or home and I am there within 15 minutes to help them out, that big thank you and appreciation is what keeps me going.
