We are Romain and Alexandre Lecat: brothers, bakers, and entrepreneurs from France with a passion for high-quality bread. Over the many years of visiting and eventually living in Los Angeles, we fell in love with the city, but couldn’t stand the taste of its bread. We decided to chase our dream in the land of dreams and started our own authentic French artisan bakery. We went home to Paris, learned the trade at l’École de Boulangerie et de Pâtisserie de Paris, and returned with the finest quality flour we could find from the fields of France. Now, we hope to fill your tables with the same authentic, natural, and delicious food we grew up loving.
Has it been a smooth road?
Truthfully, Covid-19 has been a struggle since our bakery was born during a time when restaurants, cafes, and hotels closed for safety measures. But we have been fortunate to have the right foundation and a flexible structure that gave us access to all our sweet customers online and allowed us to open and grow notwithstanding the pandemic. We had to shift our focus to direct consumer delivery and have found a very supportive and hungry base throughout Los Angeles.

It’s a French family baking business! We offer a wide range of bread, viennoiserie, and pastry selections that you would find in any traditional bakery in Paris. We specialize in bread making, and are known for using 100% French flour and an extended period of fermentation that is healthier for the gut microbiom and better for digestion. Our baguette is the real deal – it actually tastes like a Parisian baguette and is made using the same ingredients and baking methods. In fact, we are most proud of the quality and taste of our products. We can say with our full hearts and conscious that we have crafted an authentic French selection using high-quality French ingredients that set our taste apart from the rest and, most importantly, make our grandparents proud.

Los Angeles is certainly a unique metropolis with a diversity of cultures and cuisines that invites authentic foods and services. We’ve been welcomed with open arms and residents committed to supporting artisan hands that they know are providing niche products. Angelinos have excellent taste and high standards, that’s how they recognize our whole grain French flour tastes better than white bread. By the way we’ve been received, it appears we are filling a need in the city of Angeles.
