Rocky, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
33 years old young black man that attended Virginia state university and received more education from Long Island University in the later years of my life… After dropping out of college, I started a new journey as an artist. Then I signed to Birdman and Lil Wayne label “young money cash money billionaires. After a deal gone bad, I left the entertainment industry to focus on my personal private life. Then I started managing local acts in the city then I met Jamie Foxx and became a temp pr for his team and then I started doing more celebrity Work based on recommendations… Pkentertainment 17 was my first company name then we evolved to R. & D. Entertainment Agency. From Farrah Abraham, Paris Hilton, Cardi B, Amara La Negra, Alexis Skyy to even Diddy reached out to us to handle some of their business. I then became production member for B.E.T Networks and a member associated with vh1 Networks. Then 2019 came and I WON publicist of the year! Currently Nominated for Publicist of the year for 2021 and agency of the year its time the world gets to MEET who Rocky is!
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It has not! I was blackballed for five years after I was dropped off a record label as talent! Can you imagine how that made me feel?
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the R. & D. Entertainment Agency story. Tell us more about the business.
R. & D Entertainment Agency is an agency the PEOPLE can rely on. Granted ed permission for business in 2016 and we are on our 6th year of success but in the entertainment industry for more than 16 years. We specialize in Public relations and handling Talents brands and company publicity. I am a proud C.E.O and a determined entrepreneur that continues to inspire others.
