Robert, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I used to tag along with my Dad when he went to work when I was just a kid. I loved plants, dirt, and spending time with my father. I grew extremely fond of the landscaping business. I decided to go to school to further my education about Landscaping and running a business. I continued to work with my father for years until I completed my schooling, and decided to run a business for myself doing what I love, Landscaping. Using my love for art and plants to turn an ordinary yard into an extraordinary transformation, a beautiful garden that a family could enjoy spending time outside during their summers.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
In the beginning, it was rough. The hardest part about it all has been getting my brand noticed. When just starting out and no one knows your name it makes it a little more difficult for families to trust you with their homes. I’ve built my business from the ground up, and work hard and honest to provide my customers with the best service possible.
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about San Agustin Landscape – what should we know?
I am a landscape contractor. I specialize in water-wise landscaping and water conserving irrigation. I am known for working one on one with the customer and delivering 5-star service. The thing that sets us apart is I work together with each and every one of my customers from beginning to end.
Any shoutouts? Who else deserves credit in this story – who has played a meaningful role?
I am grateful for having an entirely supporting family, having faith in me from the very beginning. Most of all my Father, for teaching me about the business since I was elementary school aged, letting me tag along to work with him as a kid when I probably was more in his way than I was helpful. He supported my dreams of becoming a successful business owner for something that I feel passionate about doing. I wouldn’t be as successful as I am today without the help of my parents and the trust of my customers when I first started this business as a young man.
