Meet Robert Evans of E3 Image Group in Irvine

Today we’d like to introduce you to Robert Evans.

Robert Evans, brings more than 19 years of product development, corporate communications, marketing and visual graphic imaging experience to his role as E3 Image Group’s team Founder.

His primary focus is to increase E3 Image Group’s impact, though leadership distinction and brand awareness. Rob is the chief multimedia content creator and curator, with daily oversight of production, retail packaging solutions, networking and business development, marketing initiatives, team management, and thought leadership content.

Rob particularly enjoys assisting companies with successful brand initiatives and product development that demonstrates the benefits and improved business performance that E3 Image Group’s clients experience as a result of shaping their cultures.

An adept research, he also keeps abreast of industry trends and challenges and provides business intelligence to the company. He positions E3 Image Group leaders as experts in organizational culture shaping with local, national, and international companies from start-ups to Fortune 500 and Global 1000 companies.

Originally from Central Missouri, and a Marketing Communications graduate of Missouri State University, Rob began his career in 1995 as a marketing intern at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida. After moving to Orange County, California in 1997, Rob has been a key contributor as a graphic designer, marketing manager, and international marketing communications manager with such major brands as Toyota, Mattel, Kraft, Callaway Golf, ICN Biomedicals, Dane-Elec Memory, Duracell, Disney, and Burger King brands to name just a few. As a graphic designer with Foote Cone and Belding, he won several addy awards.

In 2008, Rob created the Duracell Flash Memory brand. After a 2-year venture to obtain the exclusive licensing rights, Dane-Elec Memory started producing and selling through major retail channels. With the economic turn in late 2008 and early 2009, Rob was forced to make a tough decision with his team. Layoff the team or become an independent consultant with his long-time employer.

As Rob, decided to venture out on his own he had a guaranteed contract for the first 12 months.

During this time, Rob learned the development of how to grow a small business. Consulting with several colleagues, and building a small team to expand the multi-channel marketing efforts of the newly formed e3 marketing and associates. Later to be incorporated as e3 image group.

With Rob’s vast marketing, design, and project management background he quickly started earning a reputation with firms of all sizes as an expert. Assisting with the launch and brand of several startup product firms. Fresh Bikes, Cam Caddie, StringKing LaCrosse, Drive Total Energy, and Silver Portal Capital to name a few.

Rob and his team began to grow, and several national merchandising agencies took notice. e3 image group played a vital role in the rebranding efforts for both Burger King and AMC Theaters.

Currently, e3 image group is developing a few proprietary game changing branded solutions within the AEC and high-end luxury industry. One of the largest non-profit organizations that assist low-income student achieve the dream of a college education is the type of client we take great pride that e3 image group is trusted during their expansive ventures.

With a full-team of marketing, creative, project managers, social media, and business analytic minds e3 image group is positioning itself to offer those firms in the initial growth stages to increase their bandwidth.

Has it been a smooth road?
Never!

As a small business, you quickly learn the pitfalls of having the wrong connections.

Vendor relations is one of the backbones of any company. Having a trusted partner is key to the success of e3 and its valued clientele.

Financing for larger projects and ensuring everyone is compensated appropriately and on time is a struggle for any small company.

Having the right personnel in place to build a brand with the right culture and strategies in place is paramount. Someone who sounds and looks great on paper may have other motives for employment. Whether it’s a stepping stone or simply collect a paycheck. Blending the right personalities and skill sets is something I expect any company has to deal with.

Clients are obviously the staple for any service based firm. So, we also have to be careful and understand that not all clients are a good fit. If a client is uninformed or the goals and steps for success are not inline e3 will not remain solvent and able to assist those who rely on e3 themselves.

We’d love to hear more about your business.
Think of e3 image group as the “keepers of your brand.” Nothing is more important to e3 than making sure that every element of your marketing efforts is implemented within the confines of the brand.

e3 concentrates on developing the proper marketing campaigns that grow not only your business but also your brand. e3 is your silent marketing partner that is with you every step of the way in the execution process.

e3 will consult with each new and existing client on what the brand means and what story they are should be telling. This may be a slight brand modification, to a fully-implemented marketing campaign. e3 has experience at all levels of the brand and product lifecycles.

e3 isn’t a cookie cutter agency. We know how to break a brand through all of the marketing noise, and deliver the results the marketing ROI that clients expect.

e3 targets those firms that are within the 2-5 year company lifecycle. The proof of concept has shown results, but most firms at this stage have little to no marketing efforts. Existing on a core clientele that can shift at any time.

Why do clients choose e3 image group? Because we have lived through the marketing communication lifecycle with our clients and we know that any conversation starts with a story and why they need their brand to appeal to the masses, bring quantifiable results, and maximize ROI. Our niche is product manufacturers within the boutique, online, and major retail markets. If you have a product or service based firm e3 has handled every situation and knows what challenges to expect, and how to implement in the proper marketing channels.

Just because the competition is going a set route does not equate to piggybacking to success by duplication. Being unique and offering the story that projects the brand in the right arena is the ultimate goal.

Is our city a good place to do what you do?
We often get asked about the environment and startup culture. I often respond I am not sure if starting e3 from scratch in 2017 would allow for similar success. The business culture changes every 3 years. Mainly driven by technology. There is no way to be a master of all things in creative, product packaging, social media, and related functions.

What I preach is to listen. My first question to anyone I met is tell me your story! What makes you feel you can be competitive in a marketplace.

e3 is located in a great business environment for marketing professionals. There are so many industry groups, agencies, and companies of all sizes. If you have the right business plan, personnels, and experience to get excited about helping other companies grow then take the leap.

The only time I discourage someone is to go reevaluate a plan that is off target. Nothing would eat away at someone than to look back and say “wish I had the guts to try!”
