Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
From a Corporate Account to a Successful Entrepreneur Running Multiple Businesses My journey started as early as when I was just 15 years old. I have been on my own since then but I have worked my way to bag a Bachelor’s degree and Master’s degree. I worked at 20th Century Fox and MGM, both of which are top Fortune 500 companies. I got into the Notary business as a result of my Sorority Sister’s influence. From then, I used my experience, values, and keen vision to build up what I have today, California Notary Agency and Ms. Notary Consultant, both of which I’m extremely delighted with because they also give me the platform to give back to the community. I collaborate with other notaries to bring “corporate to notary” and help others on their journey towards becoming successful notaries. I believe that together no dream is unattainable.
I was the youngest of eight siblings, but I have experienced far more as a child than typical children of my age. I always envisioned more for myself. The reason why I was able to succeed in Notary was that I focused on excellence and building something bigger than myself with a vision to help others reach the stars. Life is a constant struggle but I don’t want someone to be held back because they can’t afford college or feel like they can’t be successful without going to college.
I am working on bringing the Ultimate Notary Conference to notaries on June 18-19, 2022 to help them learn the inner workings and secrets of notaries that include business structure, business credit, government contracts for notaries, and how to get their business through any storm. We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I’ve established multiple companies and believe me when telling you that the hardest part is always the beginning. As an entrepreneur, my key responsibilities include being the manager, the marketer, the financer, the accountant, the troubleshooter, and of course, the person that handles all uncertainties. I’ve experienced these responsibilities while putting up my businesses which I considered as a great challenge that I took head-on and gladly got through. The past years have been a roller coaster ride for me but my passion fueled my struggle against the odds. There is nothing easy it comes to creating a successful business. It requires time, energy, capital, guts, knowledge, and heart. As a business owner, it’s usually lonely at the top. No one told me that this is what it feels like, but I discovered that I love the euphoria it comes with. The feeling of satisfaction, monetary rewards, and freedom. The ability to sustain and believe in your company should always be the foundation to propel the operations of your company. Always work on providing your client with state-of-the-art services. You will face challenges while running your company. It serves as a reminder that getting to the top is not easy. Constantly focus on the core values and objectives of your company. It will create a synergy that will help your company grow. It’s hard to find the right mentorship in the notary industry, that’s why I created Ms. Notary Consultant to help you on your journey as a notary if you would like to be a successful notary. In addition, I personally built a community of seasoned and new notaries who strive to be entrepreneurs. Through my innovative approach, I have achieved success with the following:
– I structured the Notary PPP Program, which has helped 154 notaries across the country obtain loan forgiveness funding of $1.3MM for their business free of charge.
– Provided education and resources to notaries on tax strategies and accounting tips in order to avoid common notary errors during the pandemic lockdown and provide business credit to continue providing working capital for businesses to thrive
– I created the weekly Clubhouse Educational Podcast Series for 200+ Notaries on an average of 4 – 6 hours of content and Notary Q&A in January 2021

Can you share something surprising about yourself?
I created the California Notary Agency in a short amount of time, advising, mentoring, and training Notaries across the country. I have been mentored by some of the most experienced and prolific Notaries over the century in my journey to becoming a Notary. Having been raised by family members who are Notaries, I grew up around people who have knowledge of the field. I have notarized over 1,000 loan signings in seven months. This is a record-breaking achievement for a notary, but it is not all I have achieved in my short time as a notary. In a short period of time, I have been accepted into the most difficult title/escrow companies, including BancServ, Fidelity, Service Link, Old Republic, and Amrock, because of my knowledge, training, and expertise. To be a successful error-free notary, I have been successful in moving the needle and changing the outlook of the notary length of time. Further, I became a Notary to serve my community because I have volunteered in my community even before I got commissioned. Through mentoring, I have helped about 80% of women and 20% of men become Notaries. To summarize, I became a notary as a way to earn an additional income at my convenience, as well as to give back to the community since I am passionate about helping others.
