Meet Regina Knoll

Today we’d like to introduce you to Regina Knoll.

Regina, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I have always struggled with Social Anxiety and was looking for something that would help me overcome it in a healthy, natural, and empowering way. I had always been told that I should be a model or an actress so I decided to look into it. I met some resistance because I am of petite stature standing at a modest five foot- two inches tall. So I decided to enroll in a modeling class taught by Vano Kimmel. Vano coaches me in runway, posing and branding. I instantly felt like this was my calling and what I wanted to do. It really was a natural fit for me.

Has it been a smooth road?
Like I had previously mentioned, I have met some resistance due to my size so I have been unable to obtain representation and am currently looking for an agent, manager and PR. Wanting to be in high fashion and on the runway height requirements are rather strict usually being between five foot -nine and five foot- ten inches tall barefoot. Having faith in myself I still audition and attend castings knowing that if I can make it through the door I can prove myself with my confidence and my skill.

We’d love to hear more about your work and what you are currently focused on. What else should we know?
As a new and independent model, I am known for my walk and my presence. I am often referred to as the next Kate Moss and was even fortunate enough to shoot an editorial for publication inspired by her Calvin Klein campaign. Having the training Vano (Kimmel) of V Model Studios has provided me with I have been able to prove myself both on the runway and in print. October will be my one year anniversary of my first fashion show and I have walked in an additional sixteen shows since with several more shows booked. I had my first professional photoshoot in January of this year (2018) and landed on the cover of CIE Fashion Magazine with an editorial. As of today I have over twenty publications with three covers and numerous editorials. I am so grateful to those that are giving me the chance to represent them and help bring their visions to fruition whether it be a designer, photographer or hair and makeup artist. It is quite humbling when designers and photographers fly into Los Angeles and want to work with me while they are here. Currently, I am also working with several sponsors at this time as an influencer.

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
I love the opportunities I am receiving in Los Angeles. The openness and the diversity here is an amazing thing. The only downside really is the traffic it can be quite challenging at times.
