Meet Reef

Today we’d like to introduce you to Reef.

Reef, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I started painting in 2010. I got out of my own way and good things started happening. So here I am today. It’s been a blessing.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It’s been pretty smooth. Grace is a force. I think I’ve learned about other people’s struggles more than anything else. The struggle to really be themselves. Luckily art is a medium you can express who you are, think and feel without permission. Besides that, there’s the typical cliche struggles most creatives deal with. It’s all part of it.

Please tell us more about your art. What are most proud of and what separates you from others?
I work independently and use different mediums and various styles so I’m not really known for anything specific. The work ranges from abstract on canvas, murals, street art, clothing, hand-drawn cartoons, music to poetry. Anything to get across. But mostly I sell paintings.

I’m proud that I’ve been able to be myself and keep working to create more. In return can help enrich people’s lives or living rooms.

Nothing really separates me from others, I’m part of the story.

Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
I have rules and principles I won’t compromise.
