Meet Raufa Magid of Raufa Feng Shui in Santa Barbara

Today we’d like to introduce you to Raufa Magid.

Raufa, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I apprenticed for two years with Tony Cuneo a Black Hat Feng Shui Master in Sedona, AZ in 1995 to 1996 and have been giving Feng Shui consultations since then.

I gave 3 day Feng Shui workshops at the world class Miiamo Spa in Sedona and Feng Shuied the Miiamo property.

I have helped clients buy and sell properties, helped people jumpstart their careers, find love.

And find it a joy to do this work!

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Recently I have relocated to the Santa Barbara area.

Starting up a new practice is always a challenge.

Feng Shui is not a discipline that is generally valued in this country.

Feng Shui creates an environment that allows one to sit in a protected focused seat of power with your own unique intentions.

By “curing” negative energies and enhancing positive energies we can relax and direct our energies where is most valuable for each one of us.

We’d love to hear more about your business.
My business is people oriented.

I am focusing on what a person wants in their life and what’s in the way of someone receiving it.

Feng Shui is an excellent tool for this.

I have spent my life devoted to meditation and the healing arts.

I also offer hypnosis, Cranial Sacral, Reiki, Tarot and Palm Reading all with the same intentions.

What were you like growing up?
Growing up, I was shy but if I had a chance to talk, I would babble like the cork off a champagne bottle.

My first day at school, I was put in the corner for talking.

I was overly sensitive, feeling all the energies of people and places around me and didn’t know how to live with all the input.

As a youth, I was reading Russian and French literature trying to understand what was going on with people.

In my twenties, Teachers showed me how this sensitivity could be a gift.
