Meet Raquel Garrido

Today we’d like to introduce you to Raquel Garrido.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I came from Spain seven years ago. Went to UCLA extension and started working at a restaurant to make a living. After that, I decided to study real estate and that is when in 2021, I finally got my license.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Language has always been a struggle. English not being my first language made it harder when I had to study or take exams. Same when I had to deal with my first clients, just because they hear an accent, some people might not take you seriously.

On top of that, if you add being a young woman, the road it’s a little less smooth.

We’ve been impressed with Keller Williams realty, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Keller Williams, it’s an international real estate company. One of the largest real estate franchises in a number of sales volume in the world.

I specialize in residential properties all over SoCal. I was awarded Rookie of the Year 2021, for my achievements on my first year in Real Estate.

As a bilingual agent, I also cover properties for the Hispanic community in LA to help them get their first property in the US.

What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
The most certain way to succeed is always to try just one more time.
