Meet Radu Georgescu of West Side Rent-A-Car

Today we’d like to introduce you to Radu Georgescu.

Radu, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I came to LA about 9 years ago with a job as a software engineer and I was in need for a long term rental car. I found out all major car rental companies were renting cars that were very expensive so I looked for shops renting out cheaper and older cars but those cars were very uncool at all so I decided to do this business myself and rent out cars that I would like to drive.

Has it been a smooth road?
It took me a few years to get used with the seasonal aspect of the business and determine the optimal inventory size but now we are doing fine!

So, as you know, we’re impressed with West Side Rent-A-Car – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
Most of our customers are out of state and out of country people who come here for longer terms. We provide them with cool but practical cars to make their stay in LA enjoyable.

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
Has a very wide range of geographical features: mountains, beaches, deserts and even islands. Every food available anywhere in the world is easily accessible here as well. However, the overcrowding and traffic jams seem to cause nuisance for most residents.

Pricing:

  • $550/month for the most popular rental cars
  • $650/month for a convertible BMW
