Meet Eric and Sara Peretz of Pure Eco in Chatsworth

Today we’d like to introduce you to Eric and Sara Peretz.

Eric and Sara, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.

Pure Eco started from one individual who always cared for the environment. He started serving people who he already know to gain experience with customer service. Many construction companies heard about the great job that he performs and decided to hire him. Slowly he started advertising with Yelp and Google and leads start coming in. He opened a small office at his 1bd apartment in Woodland Hills and stored the tools and material in his car garage. After 2 years in the business he met me (Sara) and I could not sit aside and see him do everything by himself. He hired me and 2 of us just kicked it. We hired our 1st employee and after a while the 2nd. After a while it was too crowded for us in the 1bd and we decided to move to 2bd apartment. 1 room out of the 2 was the new official “Office”. We managed everything from there and had to rent a Storage to store our tools and material. That last for only 1 year. The storage wasn’t enough anymore and I had to hire 2 ladies for my office. Couldn’t get the employees to come to my house all the time lol! So, we rented almost 2k sq. ft. warehouse in Chatsworth and now we are officially a Business. The private leads keep on coming in and we now serving more than 40 construction companies.

Eric and I ended up getting married and now we are expecting a tiny one to join our family.

I can tell you it is not easy to work with your husband. But when you both wake up in the morning with the same goal, things are balancing out. Every couple have their obstacles, but at the end of the day we need to learn to finalize our day with a big hug.

As for our company:
Pure Eco, is a family business and our goal is to “Greener our Environment”, save energy, and help our customers save money on bills. Since we are a family oriented company, we treat our staff and customers as if they are family. We care about each and every customer. Our main goal is to give the best service; with professionalism, dedication, pricing, and most importantly standing behind our word.

Has it been a smooth road?
Sometimes. It was very hard for Eric at the beginning to let go of his control, knowing that he is the one doing everything and suddenly he needs to give his responsibilities to someone else. But, we passed that. I think the hardest was to explain him that it is OK to hire people to do his job. He can’t always think that he will do it the best even sometimes that is the truth. Apple wouldn’t be Apple with that state of mind. Hiring people is part of us growing as a company. Giving responsibilities to other and yes, believe that sometimes others can do that even BETTER than us. And they do. Our site managers doing a wonderful job, as well as the office stuff.

Other challenge we faced is not bringing work to our home. It’s hard not to talk about work at home when we are both at the same boat.

We’d love to hear more about your business.

The quality of work we perform is by our Pure Eco standards. What does that mean? The products that we use are top of the line in the market, called CertainTeed. Pure Eco Inc. are recognized by CertainTeed to be knowledgeable, install with confidence, and to keep customers 100% satisfied with our expert advice and resources.

What are your plans for the future? What are you looking forward to or planning for – any big changes?
Growing up is always our main goal. We always think about new ideas to grow. Possibly adding more services in the future, maybe partner up with another company like us who has the same state of mind when it comes to business.

I can say that in the last 3 years our business definitely grows. From renting one pickup truck, to own 4 box trucks that serve almost every single day. From working alone, to have 7 happy employees! From having 2 construction companies who signed with us to 40 construction companies that now hire our services. From having 1 call in 2 weeks, to 3-5 calls a day from personal customers. Definitely that’s feel good and that we are doing something right, that makes me proud.
