Today we’d like to introduce you to Peri Arenas.
Peri, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I have always loved fashion. When I was younger I modeled and was always asked what I was wearing.
I had children very young and devoted my youth to raising children but always knew I would get back into fashion!
I was thinking about opening a store in NYC when my brother asked if I wanted to open a store inside the Parker Palm Springs Hotel. That’s like asking a drug addict if they want to open a pharmacy! I opened a store called “Veri Peri “. I loved finding new designers that no one heard of. People would say, I’m not spending that kind of money on brands I never heard and I would say you will but when you do I won’t!! My motto is “hot designers before they are hot gossip”
We moved to LA 4 years ago and I needed to get my daughter situated and furnish my house. Once we were all adjusted it was my turn. I started looking for retail space and my space on Robertson Blvd. Everyone is asking why Robertson? I am an optimist and I believe history repeats itself. I remember when this street was happening. Two restaurants are opening next door and that will bring a lot of foot traffic and then you will start to see stores start to rent again!!
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
We have only been open since April. Ask me one year from now!

I am different! I pride myself on discovering new talent. I am like a pig with truffles. For i.e… I was the only one who had the designer Rhaul Mishra in this country for ss/17. Now everyone is carrying him for fw/17!!
If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
Absolutely nothing! I am who I am!
