Meet Peace Within of Peace Within Professional Organizing

Today we’d like to introduce you to Peace Within.

Peace, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I began working as an insurance agent in 1996. This put me in close contact with many people from many different walks of life. I would enter their homes & feel the chaotic energies that surrounded them. I was there as their agent, but in my heart, I knew that there was more I could offer to help these people. I began to let my clients know I was available to help if they were interested, and many of were receptive to my desire to help. They allowed me to reorganize their homes to help create fresh, functional spaces, and It became a ministry to me. It felt incredible to watch people’s lives change just by changing the flow of energy in a room.

I worked for free for 10 years before establishing Peace Within Professional Organizing Service. I truly cared about the people I was working with. I believe that people lose order in their lives due to many different situations, and it’s important to get to the root of it. I wasn’t there to just clean, I wanted to create a long-lasting change. My goal was to help them gain control, instead of just allowing their life to control them. I wanted people to be present instead of just existing.

I noticed that people would get to a point where they didn’t recognize that their space was negatively affecting their lives. They would accept their space in whatever condition it was in, but I could always see the room in a new light. I could see a beautiful, clean space, where others may only be able to see a miserable mess. I hated to hear that people sometimes didn’t want to come home because their ‘stuff’ was too overwhelming. Our homes should be a sanctuary where we feel our best. So I learned to build new value in spaces that people grew to disregard.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
I’ve never dealt with many roadblocks on this journey. This business was never about making money. I truly wanted to help people change their lives. I’m very thankful that following my heart to help others turned into a business I’m passionate about.

The one thing that was tough was the pushback I would receive from people as we were getting to the root of their issues. I’m adamant about doing a deep cleaning of your space, down to the dust on the baseboards. It’s important to get rid of anything from the past that could possibly hold you back from a fresh beginning. It’s a very therapeutic experience, and sometimes it hurts to get to the root or break down a wall. What’s on the other side of that wall is always worth it.

Please tell us about Peace Within Professional Organizing.
I specialize in Peace. Peace inside yourself. Peace in your space. & the peace to move into your destiny.

There’s no space I’ve ever turned away. I go into someone’ home or office & completely reorganize it. I find a way to change the energy in the room so it’s more conducive for a productive lifestyle. So often I find people’s passions locked away in their closet, and my goal is to open the energy up & let your passion run free again. I also specialize in working with children, those with autism, ADHD, sensory rooms, downsizing senior citizens, life coaching, public speaking & full redesign.

I’m most proud of being able to consistently break people free from the bondage of clutter. There’s so much on the other side. When your home feels good, you feel good. When you feel good, you’re able to open the door for all of the beautiful possibilities that life has to offer. I come in as your friend. I’m not there to judge you. I take it very personally, and I want to make my clients feel comfortable with inviting a stranger into the privacy of their lives. I feel like that sets me apart from other organizers. This isn’t about cleaning. This is about life.

If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
If I had to start over, I would be more vocal about the importance of taking control of our spaces.
