Meet Paul Rangel of dr GEEKsters in Burbank

Today we’d like to introduce you to Paul Rangel.

Paul, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
In 2009, I helped a friend of mine startup an on-site computer consulting firm called “the GEEKsters”, which provided only in-home computer services in the Los Angeles Area. Thankfully due to the increasing consumer dependency on computers and technology, they were able to steadily grow the business and open the first walk-in repair shop in 2011.

In 2013, I had the opportunity to take over ownership of the company. As you can imagine, I happily moved forward with that change, and also took the time to set myself apart from the previous setup by changing the name to ‘dr GEEKsters’. In addition, I also took the liberty to move the shop to a larger location in the beautiful Magnolia Park strip, in Burbank, CA.

Since then, we have gone out of our way to ensure that each an every client is MORE than happy with their experience with us. We focus on customer service coupled with LOW repair prices, which will ensure that the client is in the best situation possible.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Of course not, every road has an obstacle, but the key is to determine the workarounds and implement a strategy that is best for everyone involved.

For example, we have performed hundreds of PS4 HDMI port replacements since it was released, and we do it for much less than most of our competitors (only $79).

If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
I am actually quite happy with the way things have turned out, it has been a long road, but the experience will last a lifetime.
