Paul Gardner is a retired transactional attorney (prominent entertainment attorney with more than 15 years experience in entertainment & corporate law at The Gardner Law Group) (VC/M&A at DLA Piper).
Paul has worked with or represented high-profile clients such as Beyonce, Bibi McGill, Sean “Puffy” Combs, King Los, LoLa Monroe, Tauheed Epps (2 Chainz), Jay Jenkins (Young Jeezy), William Roberts (Rick Ross), Buffie The Body, Tareq Salahi, Michaele Salahi, Kakey, Jessica Kylie, Shawn Caesar (Unruly Records), Rosa Acosta, Actor/Comedian Tommy Davidson, Singer KD of Prophet Jones, and singer Scola of Dru Hill.
During his distinguished career, Paul aided and assisted clients in all areas of entertainment law, including: music; touring; incorporations; partnerships; motion pictures; new media; development agreements; intellectual property; television; licensing agreements; merchandising; production agreements; syndication agreements; collaboration agreements; entity formation; literary book publishing; and distribution agreements.

But, all of this was taken away when Paul was disbarred from the practice of law. He was thrown into a state of despair, desperation, and depression for SEVEN long years.
One day though, Paul picked himself up and climbed back to the top! Now, Paul is highly successful… again. And determined to learn from his mistakes and not repeat the despondency of his past!
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Being disbarred was rough! They put me on the front page of the newspaper!
