Meet Patrick A. Lewis

Today we’d like to introduce you to Patrick A. Lewis.

So, before we jump into specific questions, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
It all started at the age of fourteen years old, where my introduction to fashion began. My fashion-forward aunt and her subscription to Spiegel Catalog struck a chord with my curiosity of fashion. I started studying different pictures of outfits in the catalog and constantly question my aunt to the point it drove me in exploring various colors, fabrics, and concepts. It was at that moment when I was introduced to my true love affair and passion for fashion. As the years passed, my passion was demonstrated through my own personal style and caught the eyes of many colleagues and peers, that granted me an opportunity to style and shop for them. From there, the demand became great to start my own men’s tailoring boutique.

In 2009, a major opportunity opened up for me in the city of Los Angeles, CA. I was soon invited to industry parties and red carpet events where I met some of the most influential people in the entertainment industry. These social events opened up amazing opportunities to style celebrities as well as executives from Warner Brothers, Netflix, and Will Packer production. Along with that I’m on the costumer’s list in Hollywood and personally mentored by celebrity fashion designer Warden Neil. Through his mentorship, I was allowed to be apart of LA fashion week as a wardrobe stylist, which open many doors for my career. Later this year I’m set to start my own men’s custom clothing line.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Some of the challenges I face was doors shut in my face and financial hardships that would make you want to quit. But, my love and passion wouldn’t let me die in the process. When you love something with that kind of intensity, quitting isn’t an option. As a stylist, at that time and building a clientele across the country these were some of the challenges I had to face. If I had given up these exciting moments wouldn’t happened.

We’d love to hear more about your work and what you are currently focused on. What else should we know?
As I stated, I’m a personal stylist and shopper. Even though I love women and their style I specialize in men’s wear. Some of my services included: Virtual styling” doesn’t matter what part of the world you’re in” Editorial- whether it’s video or a magazine shoot, Personal styling whether for a special event or to keep me on retainer for consistent styling projects. My services also includes personal shopping to handle all of your wardrobe needs. What I’m most known for is my unconventional approach to styling. As a stylist, I don’t style my clients just based on popular designer or trend of the day. My goal is to brand my clients through style, setting them apart and creating their own identity. I am truly an artist whose passion is driven through interpretation. Any client that I am styling I like telling a complete story about them and bringing it to fruition – through where they come from, who they are and where they are going. One of my most proud moments was taking a client image from looking like a college student to a successful entrepreneur.

Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
One of my favorite childhood memories was spending quality time with my aunt. Learning about culture, arts, music and fashion. Helping me discover my artistic lens in life!
