Today we’d like to introduce you to O.P. Almaraz.
Thanks for sharing your story with us O.P. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I grew up on government cheese & food stamps, and poverty was part of my culture. Right out of High School, I found an opportunity in construction and immersed myself in the business. Climbing the ladder, from sales estimator to Vice President, to business owner, I found success after 15 years.
In 2010, two years after starting Allied Restoration, I was faced with a massive emotional & economic blow that nearly bankrupted my company. Having sought out the best mentors on the planet, I executed what I learned and launched a marketing campaign that took my business from life support to a thriving 10 million dollar business.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Most business owners would agree when I say that owning a business is never a smooth road. In 2010 my little brother and operations manager suddenly passed away. Whether it’s the death of a partner, a massive loss of revenue, or living through a pandemic! As business owners & leaders, we are responsible for Pivoting with Power and Purpose for our families and employees. We must be determined to survive and discover creative ways to thrive in times of change.
So, as you know, we’re impressed with Allied Restoration Services Inc. – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
We are general contractors who specialize in Disaster Restoration. From COVID-19 disinfection to mold remediation, to fire, and water damage repairs.
Over the past ten years, we have worked with high net worth and celebrity customers and have established a reputable name within this clientele.
I am most proud of our culture, which includes every employee who works for Allied Restoration. Developing a positive culture is not a passive activity. It takes work! Through my career, I learned that cultures exist in every company, whether the owner knows it. In the absence of leadership, the employees create their own culture, and frequently, it’s not in alignment with the owner’s vision. I have invested in coaches and mentors who provide me with the best tools to lead a robust culture.
Innovation sets us apart from our competitors. I am 51 years old, and a third of my employees are in their twenties. They bring fresh ideas on making our customer’s journey more seamless and meaningful to create raving fan customers for life.
So, what’s next? Any big plans?
The pandemic has allowed us to create another verticle of business. In March, twenty-two of my employees were OSHA Certified, and it has allowed us to provide disinfection services to our clients, old and new. This type of work will be part of our society for years to come.
