Meet North Hollywood Makeup Artist: Bianca-Vania Baranda

Today we’d like to introduce you to Bianca-Vania Baranda.

Bianca-Vania, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
It all started when I graduated high school in 2010, initially, I was going to go to FIDM for fashion design. All it took was a delayed fasfa then I decided I wanted to take up cosmetology in the meantime. After graduating from Form Academy (cosmetology school) I knew I wanted to be a makeup artist. I started my freelance journey in 2011, working with as many designers and photographers as I can. Until this day I continue to update my portfolio, in hopes to eventually be in an agency.

Has it been a smooth road?
I think I’ve been blessed to say that there hasn’t been too much of a struggle to get to where I am today. Although I know it’s going to be difficult to get to where I want to be which is in an agency.

Tell us about your childhood, what were you like growing up?
Talking to people was never really an issue for me. I’ve always been the personable type- I’m a Sagittarius if that helps, ha. I’ve always just had a big interest in art. Whether it’s painting, drawing or even arts and crafts I was always so eager to take any form of art class throughout middle and high school. I would say that is the reason why I love to do makeup. it’s a form of art, just like how the face is my canvas and makeup being the medium.

What are your plans for the future?
My biggest goal is to get into a makeup agency before I’m 28. Also, I’m looking forward to me and my best friend’s Youtube channel, BnBV. I’m excited for how far it will go.
