Today we’d like to introduce you to Norma Estrada.
Norma, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
It all started when my daughter was born, and I found myself having to return to my 8-5 job after a few months of giving birth, terrible feeling. I’ve always wanted to start a business after graduating from Cal State San Bernardino with a Bachelors in Business Management, but like many of us, I was afraid of investing and failing.
It still took me two years to pull the trigger, it wasn’t until my daughter Anali turned two when I started to research about it. On one of my days off, I message my husband, and I told him, “I’m going to do it, placed the order for the equipment, I know I can do it,” and so it began.
Order arrives on July 13, I unpacked items started posting on social media and boom within two days I had a reservation the following Sunday, July 22nd, 2018 (Thank you to a great friend of mine who shared my post – DJ Rox) I was thrilled!
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Yes, No, Yes (smile) Even though it was super excited to receive a reservation on the first week, Running a business is not easy, and I’ve made many mistakes, that have helped me learn and will continue to learn.
I am extremely blessed to have an awe-mazing husband, daughter, family, friends, and co-workers who have been very supportive in many ways. They have no idea how much it means to me when I see them supporting one way or another, what may seem like not a big deal to them it’s a BIG DEAL!

Lil’ Munchkins Playground offers sensory soft play rentals. We offer play areas safe for five years old and under. Our equipment is commercial grade, and we also integrated equipment that no one else offers and that is what mainly separates us from other soft play rentals.
We are proud to be part of creating birthday memories not only for the children but their parents, family, and lil’friends. Thank you to all customers who have invited us to be part of their events.
There has not been a time when we pick up our equipment and not hear ” Kids loved it, it was a hit! “We even forgot to break the piñatas!”
