Meet Nina and Randa Nelson

Today we’d like to introduce you to Nina and Randa Nelson.

Nina and Randa, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
We (Nina and Randa) are a work in progress. Our YouTube channel began as a fun way to showcase our music, while we were going to school and working as actors. The YouTube channel became popular, and our business grew from there.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
The biggest struggle we probably have had is when we both got severe acne and became increasingly depressed and insecure. You can’t work in show business when you’re ashamed to be seen.

We’d love to hear more about your business.
We are best known for our YouTube channel, Nina and Randa, and our book just released by Hachette Publishing, The Clear Skin Diet. We are proud and happy that we have been able to use our platform to help others suffering from acne.

Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
We make our own luck, good or bad. We were lucky to be born into a loving family and were unlucky to get acne so severe that we thought our careers in show business had come to a halt. But then… we were lucky that we found a way to get rid of the acne, and then help other people do the same. Was the acne lucky or unlucky? It was what we made out of it.
