Today we’d like to introduce you to Nilja Brown.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
In the year of 2018, I began to grow a passion for amplifying the beauty of others when I started to do my friend’s make up. An entrepreneur (Brandy Felton) who I admire in the beauty industry, continued to encourage me to take one of her classes to perfect my craft being that she saw grave potential in my work.
On March 5, 2019, I then took her offer and completed a one on one class for eyebrow tinting. With the help of my significant other Antonio Hunter who encouraged and financially assisted with my logo, I was now equipped with the tools I needed to launch my business. On April 9, 2019, I officially launched my business. The love/feedback I received on the official launch date was indescribable. I am extremely grateful for my family and friends who have been supportive throughout the entire process since the start of this journey.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Entrepreneurship is not for the weak. Starting my business has been a smooth road for the most part. Being a mother, working a full-time job, and running a business can be very challenging yet rewarding. It takes a lot of dedication, motivation and sacrifices. I am very thankful for my support system who are always there when I need them. Running a small business, the main struggle I deal with is remaining consistent. Setting goals and working with a business consultant has definitely helped me tremendously.

I am Nilja Brown, Founder of iBrow N’ Beauty, LLC. I am a certified eyebrow specialist who specializes in natural eyebrow tinting. I will also be adding makeup application to my list of services. Growing up, I was always the girl with little to no brows. Over the years, I have always wanted to learn how to create the perfect brow…BUT! I could not quite get the perfect brow creation. As makeup and brows begin to be the hot topic, I found myself falling in love with perfecting my craft. I soon became the go to friend for brows and makeup. I knew that if I wanted that arch and everyday brow look, I truly had to practice at it. Fast forward to now, this is why I created iBrow N. Beauty, LLC. It represents the true ethic of me. Now, I am certified to give you that perfect natural tinted brow!
What were you like growing up?
Growing up, I was the only girl of four. I was very outgoing and kept my mother busy. I was actively involved in just about every sport you can think of because my mother was an inspiration to many. My mother is the epitome of a strong independent woman who instilled those qualities in me. We were involved at church growing up but I did not fully gain a true connection with God until I was older. As a mother, I hope to instill the same knowledge, love and confidence that my mother has gracefully taught me.
