Meet Nicole Doherty of Nicole Doherty: Yoga, Healing Arts & Wellness in Culver City

Today we’d like to introduce you to Nicole Doherty.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
My path began with two cataclysmic events – the World Trade Center destruction and the death of my Father-setting me on a course of deep Spiritual inquiry and self-healing. I took a path of discovery and adventure which led me through my traumas, grief, sadness and pain to the other side. My hero’s journey was laden with so many obstacles and challenges which led me to a variety of potent healing modalities and extraordinary teachers. All of which set me on this course of healing and thus now I’m deeply called to return the gifts and lessons with the service work I offer the World. I am a channel for Love.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Not a smooth road. On my path, I struggled deeply with the masculine and trust. I discovered physical and verbal abuse in my childhood. I then saw repetitive patterns of this throughout my life in relationships. I suffered through alcoholism and drug addictions. I was raped, stalked and other similar behaviors followed me. I felt often that I had lost my spirit and my mind.

I help people go deep into their unconscious and uncomfortable spaces to unearth old belief systems and patterns to unlock their highest potential. I love working with women who have suffered sexual traumas & abuse.

If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
I have learned so many lessons. I’ve learned how to move out of victim, blame, and shame and into power, responsibility, and right action. I’ve learned how to live consciously and mindfully. I have opened my voice and I can sing! I learned to let go, let God, let love in. I practice forgiveness and learned the art of gratitude. I’ve learned how to live with intention and in right relationship with myself and others. I’ve learned how to let go of fears, anger, pain and resentment and to walk in beauty, love, compassion and kindness. I see myself for who I truly am and I’ve learned to love myself and create healthy boundaries. I can see the truth and trust myself and my actions. I’m clean and sober. I am in alignment with Source. I live creative and manifest regularly. It’s truly a life of passion and purpose. I’m letting God use me as a Divine instrument for the benefit of all.
